This means one thing; mobile phone operators offer some crazy deals to encourage sales in a rather flat month. Below we have identified some of the best bargains on the best handsets. 1) Samsung Jet deals - Why people haven't raved about this phone more is beyond us. It is fantastic, uses Android and has a wealth of features. What's more it won't cost you your life savings to get one. A little over £21.00 per month will get you 400 minutes and 3000 texts on Orange, not bad for a Smartphone of this calibre.
2) Nokia 5530 deals - A great touch screen mobile phone with a tiny price tag to match. Ideal for those on a budget who want a truly useful phone. £21.00 per month will get you 600 minutes and unlimited texts on the Vodafone network.
3) HTC Hero deals - An android phone worth talking about, however the lack of a QWERTY keyboard does disappoint slightly. The interface is slick though and you can pick one up on Orange for £25.28 per month.
4) Nokia N97 deals - yes it is expensive and yes it is seriously good. If you are looking for a Smartphone that will do practically everything and more besides then this is the one for you. Don't expect a free N97 for under £40 a month though, available through T-Mobile or Vodafone.
5) Sony Ericsson W995 deals, great music facilities, good camera, what more can we say? Oh you can get it for less than £22.00 per month with 400 minutes and 3000 texts on Orange. If that doesn't seal the deal for you we don't know what will.
6) Nokia N86 deals - The gamers paradise of a phone. We love the look, we love the feel and it is a snitch at under £30 per month on Orange, you'd be silly not to consider this one if you like gaming on your mobile.
7) Samsung Pixon 12 deals - An updated version of the incredibly popular Samsung Pixon. It is a bit on the pricey side due to its exclusivity agreement with Phones4u but still a great phone none the less. £40 per month will get you 9000 minutes and unlimited texts on Orange
8) Blackberry 8520 deals - The new Blackberry on the block looks sleeker than ever before. The screen is bright and easy to read. You can pick one of these up on O2 from as little as £25 per month. For that you get 600 minutes and 500 texts.

Apple iphone 3G S. The need for speed?

With a little 'S' next to its name being the only discernible change for the iPhone 3G S, we were a little worried that Apple had pulled a fast one. However, the more we learn about the new version, the more we're convinced there's enough new stuff here to (just about) justify the (re-) launch. Whether there's enough tweaking gone on to convince you to upgrade from the Apple iphone 3G, we'll leave up to you, but if you've still got the original iphone, or are thinking about owning one for the first time, now is the time to buy for sure.

There's more additions, improvements and general tinkerings gone on inside the iPhone 3G S than you could shake even a large branch at, but here's our brief run down of what you need to know:

• Improved performance (faster processor, better graphics chip – some people are even claiming it's a PSP beater in the games department)
• 3-megapixel camera (with a lovely little tap-to-focus feature)
• Video recording (and even editing)
• Voice Control (you shout, it does)

Not that oily-fingered friends should be allowed anywhere near your new iPhone 3G S! Can’t Wait For Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman

The Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman was the first phone to be unveiled at the World Mobile Congress 2009. And, I don’t mind admitting that it captured my heart from the very first instance. After looking at the Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman, no other phone that was announced seemed to match up to its performance or style. I can’t tell you how impatient I am to find out the release date of the Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman which is expected to be in the second quarter of 2009. The price has not been announced yet as well, but honestly, I would be willing to pay a decent amount for a phone that has so many dashing features.
To begin with the See Sony's press release truly lives up to its name. The phone is the premier vehicle for the new Media Go software and I am looking forward to finding out more about it. It is expected to take away the hassle of converting files from one format to another while transferring data onto your phone. Apart from that, the phone features album art, shake control, TrackID, and an adjustable bass level. It also has a stereo speakers and 3.5 mm audio jack to allow users to connect standard headphones to the phone.
Secondly, it has an amazing 8.1 MP camera has a 16x digital zoom, auto-focus, face detection, a flash and a video recorder. The A-GPS in the phone also allows for geo-tagging of pictures you take. There are a number of other high end features in the phone, but the next most impressive feature is the 2.6” display which lends itself to pictures as well as movies. And with a battery life that supports 9 hours talk time, 20 hours music time and 5 hours video time, you can actually watch 2 full length movies on your phone.
The mobile phone contracts is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited phone in 2009.

Sony Ericsson W395 Walkman: A Perfect Gift

My younger brother is soon going to turn sixteen and I have been thinking of what gift to get him for his birthday. Today, while browsing the net, I came upon something that is the most perfect gift for him ever! I came upon the product description of the W395 Walkman and as I was reading it, it began to seem as if the phone was built keeping my brother in mind.
To begin with, I knew I had to gift my brother something that is not too expensive. My parents would never have approved of an extravagant gift. In that sense, the Sony Ericsson W395 Walkman is well within my budget. Secondly, considering my brother is still young, I wanted to give him a gift that was not too advanced for his age or difficult to use. The W395 Walkman is touted as the ‘entry level music phone targeted at the younger generation.’ As I said, it was perfect!
My brother is heavily into music just like everyone his age and I’m sure he would love to show off a sleek looking slider music phone that comes with some very interesting features. I have no doubt my brother will love the inbuilt stereo speakers of the The offical press release that will ensure that everybody in the room gets to hear his music. The wireless headphones are also likely to be popular with him.
T-mobile also has a built in 2 MP camera with an application that tweaks photos after they have been taken. The 3D gaming with motion control support is also going to be a big hit with him. I’m sure my brother will really enjoy the many facets of his birthday gift for a long time to come.

Samsung S3500: A Phone worth waiting for?

I am in the habit of changing my mobile phones every few months. Unfortunately, with the recession and all, I haven’t been able to indulge in my craving for the latest phones as much as I would like to. I have been using my current phone for a very long time now and am really looking for an affordable change. My budget is not very high, but I am hoping to find the best phone I can in the entry level category of mobile phones. I haven’t really liked any of the phones in the market that are currently available, but I have my eyes set on S3500 that is expected to be released sometime this year.
To begin with, the Samsung S3500 has all the features I am most interested in. It has a 2 Mp camera that I can take good quality pictures with as well as use for recording video. It also has a very good music player and FM radio. The user interface is flash enhanced and I think that would look very attractive. It also has a very attractive 2.2-inch TFT display screen with QVGA resolution of 240 x 320 and capable of displaying 16M colors. The Samsung S3500 also has a microSD card slot which supports up to 16 GB of external memory so you can carry a large collection of pictures, videos and music with you wherever you go.
But that’s not all. The main reason I liked this phone and want to buy it is that nobody who saw it would say that it was an entry level phone. On first glance, the phone looks very premium and high end and even the few features that are there support the illusion. The look and the feel of the Samsung is so classy, it is worth spending on.

Samsung i7410- The Projector Phone

Samsung has just launched Samsung i7410, its first projector phone in conjunction with Texas Instruments. Ever been in situations where you wanted to do a presentation and the projector wouldn’t work, or the power would go off and u wished there was some other way to do your presentation? If you are somebody who has a lot of presentations to do at work then this could be your backup. It is powered by a DLP Pico chipset, which is used by most micro- projectors.

I’m not saying Samsung i7410 can replace a conventional home cinema projector but it can be used conveniently for casual presentations and work quite well under appropriate light conditions. This phone eliminates the confines of a conventional mobile phone by allowing the user to view images up to a size of 50 inches. It also has integrated audio speakers which help with presentations.

Samsung i7410 also has normal phone like features such as SMS, MMS, email, mp3 player and a 5 mega pixel camera. Viewing pictures on the phone is also a pleasure as it boasts of having a 3.2 inch high- resolution color OLED touchscreen. It also comes with a bundle of applications that help with the presentation such as Powerpoint and other applications that help display emails, attachments that come via emails, pictures, etc.

The camera that comes with Samsung has an auto- focus feature and comes with an inbuilt flash and gives good quality pictures. The flash comes in handy for low light pictures. It comes with a good Li-ion 1440mAH battery which is sufficient for presentations of a decent length. So if you are somebody who is into photography and are often required to display your work, or a professional just looking for a pocket projector this would be the perfect phone for you.

Samsung Blue Earth - The Green Revolution

More and more companies are beginning to get environment conscious and we all knew that this change in attitude will reflect in the mobile phone industry, just like everywhere else. What we had not expected, at least not me was that a phone as eco friendly as the Blue Earth will hit the markets in the near future.
While attempts have been made to make mobile phones eco-friendly, no other mobile phone has made such huge leaps in the technology. The Samsung Blue Earth is one of the first phones to feature a solar powered panel that will give your phone enough charge to make a call. The remains of plastic bottles are transformed into a material called the PCM, which consumes less fuel and produces less carbon emission during the manufacturing process. The manufacturing process also ensures that no harmful materials like Brominated Flame Retardants, Beryllium and Phthalate are used in the making of the Samsung Blue Earth.
While, these advancements are absolutely fantastic, they do not prepare you for your first look at the see Cnet for more information. Seeing the mobile phone for the first time does take you by surprise. It is a very sleek and stylish looking mobile phone. In keeping with the environment friendly theme, the phone is designed to look like a rounded flat and shine pebble. It is equipped with a touch screen and a number of other high end features. Samsung seems to have finally broken the barriers between green technology and high end mobile phones.
Far too many details are about the phone are not yet available. We do not yet know all the features it offers or how much it is expected to cost, but we do know that this mobile phone is going to be wildly popular when it is released.

LG KT770 & More Microsoft

The LG KT770 is a 3rd edition Symbian S60 powered phone, another result of the tie up between LG and Microsoft. What is really exciting about this phone is that it has a document editor, which, if it has anything to do with Microsoft, will definitely be the best doc editor out there. They don’t do too many things well in Windows, but one of the good things is definitely their document editing applications. The LG KT770 will be capable of viewing .doc, xls, and pdf formats. A great tool for business owners, students and almost anyone else who uses text editing capabilities.

Contrary to rumors, the KT770 does NOT have a touch screen. It has two touch keys, as well as a regular keypad, but no touch screen. This might be one of the ways that LG is planning to make the KT770 more affordable and available to all. The keypad is reputed to have great sensory feedback, which will be a pleasure for all the avid text messagers.

The phone also has a 5.0 megapixel camera that has auto focus, smile and face detection. Photos can be easily shared through WIFI, WLAN, or Bluetooth. Or stored for later perusal on the micro SD card (upto 16 gigs) The LG also has a facebook application, which will make it popular with the younger generation of mobile phone users.

The phone has is GPS enabled and offers geotagging features. It is a sleek slider model, deep blue in color. A great attraction is the 2.8 inch display which is bright and clear. It also has a great interface – simple and easy to use.

We are unsure of the pricing and release date of the lg KT770, but for anyone who needs a simple phone with some great features, this one will do the trick.

Massive Entertainment with Nokia E75

Who thought a phone that was expected to be amongst the top business phone would turn out to be such a great entertainment gadget? It takes some time for people to get over the awesome functionality the phone offers for business applications and start to look at the other aspects of the Nokia E75.
I think the main reason is that even though the E75 is loaded with features for business use, it double up as a personal phone as well. This is because the phone allows users to set two separate screens with separate applications and shortcuts attached to them. So, while they can use one screen for work, the second can be reserved for entertainment options. It would have been a pity if Nokia had neglected the personal phone aspect of the phone in trying to develop a marvelous business phone.
But, the E75 is so fitted up for action that it is going to become an instant hit with the younger generation. As expected, See more info here is equipped with features like a music player, media player, FM radio, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Nokia Maps, and support for microSD memory cards. What was unexpected, at least for me, was compatibility with the Ngage gaming system. But, what really took me by surprise was the compatibility with the Ovi Suite. The Share on Ovi service allows the user to share images, video, audio, and other files on the internet; and Ovi Files provides access to a user's files on a PC, even if the PC is offline. Can you imagine what this will mean to people who use their mobile phones for social networking?
And, who can resist the designer colors, the unique patterns and the overall sleek and stylish look of the Nokia?

The new Nokia E55 packs quite a mean punch when it comes to utility. Don't be fooled by it's innocent candybar design and astoundingly small size (116.5 x 49 x 9.9 mm.) This is a phone that means business.

It is a GPS enabled phone, with Maps software (that Nokia has just recently updated) and an in built compass. It supports most email protocols, supports Exchange, Lotus Notes Traveller, Nokia email service, HTML email, and multiple simultaneous email accounts, which is important if you want to use the same phone for business and personal communication.

The Nokia E55 supports web browsing and has ample connectivity – EGSM, HSDPA, HSUPA, WLAN, and TCP/IP support. It also has the capability to serve as a data modem. It enables instant messaging via Windows Live, Yahoo, OMA IM, Ovi contacts and cell broadcast.

The Nokia E55 runs the Symbian OS 9.3, which supports 2 homescreen modes - business and personal. It has a PDF viewer, Quick office editors, ZIP manager, MOT dictionary, Nokia office tools, and PC suite. And if this sounds too businesslike for you, then it also has N-Gage, Nokia's gaming zone. Of course you will also find standard mobile games like solitaire and block cascade.

If you like to be organized, the official product page also works as a planner. It has active notes, a to-do list, series calendar, and reminders.

An important feature of the Nokia mobiles is the noise cancellation feature that cuts out all ambient sounds that disturb or disrupt your phone call. It was about time that cell phones became smart enough to do this, and the creators at Nokia have taken the first step in a concept that will go a long way in cellphone design.

The phone has an enviable battery life in it's BP-4L 1500m battery. 8 hours talktime and 672 hour standby time for GSM, and 6hour talktime and 456 hour standby time for WCDMA. To add to this, the phone has a really good camera that also records video, and has the option for video and conference calling. All this in a candybar? Almost unbelievable, except from Nokia.

I don't know how Nokia does it, but they always seem to design exactly the kind of phone that everyone needs. This one – the Nokia 6720 Classic is simple and elegant, functional and cool, young and old, professional and personal – I could go on – it really is the perfect phone.

All the features of a smart phone fitted perfectly into a handset that makes me a little nostalgic when I look at it. It looks a bit like the older cellphones (no slider, no flip top) but works like something out of a science fiction movie. Cutting edge technology.

The Nokia 6720 Classic includes GPRS/EGPRS class, GSM/EDGE networks, WCDMA, HSDPA and more. It supports MS Outlook synchronization of contacts, calendar and notes via bluetooth and sing a HTTP server. It enables SIND or speaker-independent name dialling, and has an integrated hands-free speakerphone.

6720 Classic
supports number screening for messages and calls, conference all with up to 6 people, and video calling too.

It is equipped with a function called 'active noise cancellation' making the call clearer than any other phone in the market today.

The GPS navigation works with Nokia Maps, which has recently been updated to include data for over 200 cities, the weather, 3D landmarks, traffic and safety warnings, and much, much more. I can’t believe what I am hearing about the 6710 Navigator. To begin with, it is supposed to have the finest navigational equipment in a phone, which works whether you are on foot or in a vehicle. Then, the Nokia 6710 Navigator also has a stupendous in-built camera that will ensure that no matter what setting or location you are in, you will be able to take great pictures.

But, now to be told that the Nokia 6710 Navigator is also a great gaming device, it begins to seem all good to be true. But here are the specs: a selection of Java MIDP 2.0 along with the N-Gage. What the phone also does is that it allows you to try out different games before you have to decide whether or not to buy them. This makes sure that you buy the games you enjoy most.

The gaming experience in the Nokia's official page is truly awesome. You have a choice of Landscape and Portrait game viewing at any time. The fact that the phone has a sleek design and comfortable grip only makes it so much easier to game with.

Apart from the gaming abilities, there is also a PIM (personal information management) section on the Nokia

The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic sounds like it could be one of the best cell phones or rather smart phones to come out in a really long time. The perfect balance between cool and sophisticated, this phone is reputed to be the slimmest phone (12mm) to support N-Gage gaming.

The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic also supports WLAN, HSDPA, and HSUPA (up to 2mbps) options for high-speed internet connectivity, and access to a Nokia online store for quick and easy music downloads. As the name suggests, the phone has dedicated keys for music playing, has bass boost options, a 3.5mm AV jack for hi-fi headphones, and fantastic sound output through built in stereo speakers. You have the option of storing up to 3000 songs on the 4 gig SD card, or upgrading to 16 Gigs if you need more space than that.

The 2.8 inch touchscreen has a TouchFLO enabled swipe navigation which makes going through the lists of menus very easy. It has a number of business and office features built into it and runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1. with IM (instant messaging) Under its menu item called Pocket Office, HTC Touch Cruise 09 has applications with the help of which one can view Word, Excel and PDF files.

The phone has a GPS system with a new HTC Footprint feature where the location of the picture will be saved. Footprints works by allowing users to take a “digital postcard” comprising of a photograph, audio clips and accompanying text along with the GPS coordinates of the desired location. LG GD900 crystal

I saw a video of the GD900 Crystal online and it looks really cool. I wonder if anyone has seen it for real and if it is as amazing as it seems to be. The slide out panel with the keypad is crystal clear. Totally transparent – except for the numbers, of course. None of the wiring is visible. My guess is that it is a touch sensitive screen that slides out as a keypad. It emits a “cool glow that reflects the phone's sleek and polished silver body” Apparently it's not just a fashion accessory, but comes with many cutting edge capabilities as well.

The GD900 Crystal specifications haven't been released as yet. But I think that it will have a great camera and interface to boot. The user interface of most LG cellphones has been steadily improving. I believe their graphics and animation will compare to the best phone out there, especially if this phone is going to be a show phone.

They've really done a great job of building up hype around the LG GD900 Crystal . No details are available anywhere online – all we know is that the phone will come out sometime in the second quarter of 2009. They displayed the see the official press release at an international exhibition in Barcelona - the Mobile World Congress, and the phone was said to be a big hit with the crowds, especially when it came to build and design. LG's first phones were a little laughable, really, sort of slow and clunky, but they've come really far when it comes to cellular design. I am looking forward to this one! I think I might buy a LG mobile phones as a surprise anniversary present for my wife. She is always talking about needing more crystal on the mantle. She will just love it.

My friend has the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and she just loves it. She sent me a link to their website, and I did a little research of my own. I'm really impressed with what they have to offer. I mean – all those features with that great size and build, almost too good to be true.

The Touch Diamond 2 has a 5.0 megapixel camera (which supposedly takes great photos) an iphone like interface complete with touch screen and rolodex graphics, an enhanced TouchFLO interface that makes navigation easier and friendlier. It takes micro SD cards for ample storage space, and has a 3.2 inch touch sensitive screen that looks oh so glossy and bright.

One of the cool things about the HTC Touch Diamond 2 is the way it stores contacts. It seems more personal to have each contact organized as a unit – and has all conversations with that contact stored together. So say you emailed your mom and then called her, and later sent her a text message, it stores all of those together under your mom's folder so that you can keep track of them easily. This is way more intuitive than the usual 'sort by format' that most other phones use. I am really looking forward to this feature, especially since I tend to forget so easily if I responded to an email or not.

The product overview
has a zoom bar, which is something that I think all phones should have especially with their tiny screens and fonts. No more squinting to read. I will just zoom in and out without too much hassle and save myself the trouble. Great for checking out photos too, I presume.

'Beautiful yet Capable' says the mobile broadband with free laptop website, and by the looks of it, I'm inclined to agree. the back casing has an awesome prism shape hear that the battery life has been improved to last 50% longer, which is a great advantage if you use your phone as much as I do.

It seems the long-awaited Sony Ericsson C901 Filippa Cybershot is finally going to be released in April, and I am definitely psyched.
I remember when 5 megapixel digital cameras, the ones independent of a cell phone, were not the norm and it was not all that long ago. But one of the biggest advantages of the upcoming Sony Ericsson C901 Filippa Cybershot is that the phone has a 5 megapixel digital camera. Gone are the days of grainy pictures taken from a cell phone that you wouldn’t even want to show your best friend.
The Sony Ericsson C901 Filippa Cybershot also is set to have three color choices, which are as follows: black, silver, and peach. Of course even the colors of the new Sony Ericsson phones have nicknames, like the following: Noble Black, Sincere Silver, and Precious Peach. I am thinking of buying Sincere Silver when I get my new Sony Ericsson C901 Filippa Cybershot.
One gripe I do have is Precious Peach looks more like Precious Pink in all the photos I have viewed so far. It would be nice to have an actual peach-colored cell phone on the market, since guys and girls alike would be willing to carry such a novelty color that doesn’t have the connotations and innuendos ignorant people use to describe guys carrying pink cell phones.
Not only will I get to take good resolution digital images, I can also listen to FM radio, enjoy Bluetooth capabilities, and apparently use any mobile phone carrier I choose. The camera on the Sony Ericsson C901 Filippa Cybershot also has auto focus and a flash to make its photos and features more like a true camera than just another phone with a cheap digital camera that no one really cares to use.

The Sony Ericsson W995 was announced at the World Mobile Congress just last week and we cannot wait until it arrives here in the UK. It is positively loaded with fantastic features that most phones would simply die for. Using its new software platform Media Go, Sony Ericsson wants to make it easier for us to organise our media life by doing the hard work for us. We haven't used this software ourselves, so we cannot comment on its effectiveness at this point.
Other features on the Sony Ericsson W995 include a quite impressive 8.1 mega pixel camera, something that we would normally only associate with the Cybershot series of mobile phones like the C905, which incidentally is selling very well at the moment. Cnet seems to really rate this phone as well, so that is always a good sign. The W995 walkman phone also comes with a 2.6 inch screen, auto focus and face recognition. They have also thrown in a 8GB memory stick to store all your valuable media files onto. Couple this with a 3.5mm headphone jack and you really do have the makings of a great phone when it is finally released later this year.
